What is the Neolithic Age
A geologic age is a subdivision of geologic
time that divides an epoch into
smaller parts. A succession of rock strata laid down in a
single age on the geologic timescale is a stage.

Age, Era,
or Period, or New Stone Age, was a period in the
development of human technology, beginning about 10,200 BC, according to the ASPRO chronology, in some parts of the Middle East, and later in other parts of the world[2] and
ending between 4,500 and 2,000 BC.
Traditionally
considered the last part of the Stone Age[1](6,000
BCE and 2,000 BCE), the Neolithic followed the terminal Holocene Epipaleolithic[i] period
and commenced with the beginning of farming,
which produced the "Neolithic
Revolution". It ended when metal tools became widespread (in
the Copper Age or Bronze Age; or, in some geographical
regions, in the Iron Age). The
Neolithic is a progression of behavioral and cultural characteristics and
changes, including the use of wild and domestic crops and of domesticated animals.

Researcher Robert Felix speaks about climate and the possibility we could be heading into an ice age. According to a study, the Himalayas have lost no ice in the last 10 years, and glaciers are growing in areas such as Mount Everest, he noted. Ice age cycles occur around every 11,500 years, and one sign that one is impending is increased volcanic activity, particularly underwater, he stated.
An ice age, or more precisely, a glacial age, is a period of long-term reduction in the temperature of the Earth’s surface and atmosphere, resulting in the presence or expansion of continental ice sheets, polar ice sheets and alpine glaciers. Within a long-term ice age, individual pulses of cold climate are termed “glacial periods” (or alternatively “glacials” or “glaciations” or colloquially as “ice age”), and intermittent warm periods are called “interglacials”. Glaciologically, ice age implies the presence of extensive ice sheets in the northern and southern hemispheres. By this definition, we are still in the ice age that began 2.6 million years ago at the start of the Pleistocene epoch, because the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets still exist.

The Stone Age was a broad prehistoric period
during which stone was widely used to make implements with
an edge, a point, or a percussion surface. The period lasted roughly 3.4
million years, and ended between 6000 BC (or BCE) and
2000 BC with the advent of metalworking

"Epipaleolithic" is a
term used for the "final Upper Palaeolithic industries occurring at the
end of the final glaciation which appear to merge
technologically into the Mesolithic".[1] The
period is generally dated from 20,000 BP to about 10,500 BP, having emerged
from the Palaeolithic era. [2] The
term is sometimes used as a synonym of "Mesolithic".
When a distinction is made, "Epipaleolithic" stresses the continuity
with the Upper Paleolithic and Mesolithic as we
understand it today, whilst "Protoneolithic" stresses a subsequent

In the language of Prehistorical Archaeology, the most
extended trend is to use the term "Epipaleolithic" for the industrial
complexes of the post-glacial hunter-gatherer groups. Inversely, those that are
in transitional ways towards artificial production of food are inscribed in the
"Mesolithic".[4]
The Quaternary period is typically defined by the
cyclic growth and decay of continental ice sheets driven
by Milankovitch cycles and the associated
climate and environmental changes that occurred.

Göbekli Tepe (pronounced [ɟøbekˈli teˈpe], "Potbelly Hill") is an
archaeological site at the top of a mountain ridge in the Southeastern Anatolia
Region of modern-day Turkey, approximately 12 km (7 mi) northeast of the city
of Şanlıurfa. The tell has a height of 15 m (49 ft) and is about 300 m
(984 ft) in diameter.[4] It is approximately 760 m (2,493 ft) above sea level.
The tell includes two phases of ritual use dating back to the 10th – 8th millennium BCE. During the first phase, pre-pottery Neolithic A (PPNA), circles of massive T-shaped stone pillars were erected. More than 200 pillars in about 20 circles are currently known through geophysical surveys. Each pillar has a height of up to 6 m (20 ft) and a weight of up to 20 tons. They are fitted into sockets that were hewn out of the bedrock.[5] In the second phase, Pre-Pottery Neolithic B (PPNB), the erected pillars are smaller and stood in rectangular rooms with floors of polished lime. The site was abandoned after the PPNB-period.
